Refund Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

This policy explains your refund and cancellation rights for purchases from Get Social Ltd — both the physical board game and digital hosting licences. Your rights differ between the two, so each is covered separately below.

Physical board game — your right to cancel

The physical edition is goods, not digital content, so different rules apply and the digital waiver below does not affect them.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you may cancel your order for any reason, without giving a reason, within 14 days of the day you receive the game. You then have a further 14 days to send it back.

  • Tell us you are cancelling by emailing support@popularitythegame.com. A clear statement is enough — you do not need to use a special form.
  • Return the game to us in a resaleable condition, with all cards, tokens and components included. You may inspect it as you would in a shop, but you are responsible for any loss in value caused by handling beyond that.
  • You pay the cost of return postage, unless the game arrived faulty or not as described.
  • We refund within 14 days of receiving the game back, or of you providing proof of postage, whichever is sooner. The refund goes to the original payment method and includes standard outbound delivery.

Faulty, damaged or missing components

Separately from the cancellation right above, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you a 30-day right to reject goods that are faulty, damaged, or not as described, for a full refund. After 30 days we will repair or replace first. Email support@popularitythegame.com with your order email and a photo of the problem and we will sort it — missing or damaged components are usually fastest to fix by us simply sending replacements.

Digital hosting licences

Statutory cancellation rights — digital content (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

For digital content supplied online, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period. However, this right is lost once supply of the digital content begins with your express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the cancellation right.

When you purchase a licence, you will be asked to agree that:

"I want my licence to start immediately and I understand I lose my 14-day right to cancel once a game has started."

If you purchase but do not start any game, you may request a full refund within 14 days.

Our goodwill refund policy (in addition to your statutory rights)

We want every party to go well. We will provide a full or partial refund where:

  • a technical fault on our side prevented you from starting or completing a game (e.g. the game softlocked, the service was down);
  • you were charged in error or charged twice.

Refunds are made to the original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days.

All plans are one-off payments

Every plan — day, month, and year — is a single, one-off charge. None of them auto-renew, and there is no subscription to cancel: the pass simply covers its stated period (24 hours / 30 days / 12 months) from the moment of purchase and then expires. There is no billing portal or account to manage, because there is nothing recurring to manage.

Day, month, and year passes

Every plan is a one-time charge granting hosting access for its stated period (24 hours / 30 days / 12 months). As immediately-supplied digital content, none are refundable once a game has started, except under the technical-fault goodwill case above.

How to request a refund

Email support@popularitythegame.com with your purchase email, approximate date/time, and a short description. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
